InfoYue Yang (YY) is a multidisciplinary designer and art director born in China and raised across Singapore, Sydney, and Melbourne. Her work bridges design strategy, cultural translation, and visual storytelling, blending East-Asian sensitivity and philosophy with a French-inflected aesthetic.

A002 → Riso Posters at NGV

Risograph prints with Sandwich Press2025

01. 4 colours Risograph prints

01. 1 mono colour, riso-blue Risograph prints

A part of the 2025 NGV Art Book Fair, this pair of Riso posters originates directly from my sketchbooks — fragments drawn during ten-minute pauses between the weight of work and the drift of thought. These intervals of quiet wandering — en flâneur — become moments where the mind loosens its knots and turns inward, tracing the subtle threads of solitude, hypersensitivity, and emotions that surface without invitation, yet from everywhere at once. Each page holds the echo of an object that stirs nostalgia, or an imagined scene that breathes more vividly on paper than in life.
In collaboration with Sandwich Press, these sketches found new life through experiments in tone and colour. The deep, saturated blues evoke Riso’s peculiar duality — the solitude of thought and the convivial warmth of shared imagination. The coloured print, made through multiple rounds of changing Riso ink cartridges, produces hues impossible to replicate through other means. It romanticises, instead, the act of daydreaming, where melancholy becomes a playful engine, and boredom quietly transforms into the architecture of an imagined world. It is a dreamy experiment in blurring reality and reverie.
